The City of Gaffney Fire Department will be conducting testing for Part-time Firefighter Positions:

Part-time Firefighter: $8.05 per hour -The position protects life and property by performing firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials, and fire prevention duties. Work schedule  will vary based on need.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

(A) High school diploma or GED,

(B) The ability to successfully complete Fire Academy training,

(C)Must be age 18 or older,

(D) A valid SC driver’s license,

(E) And the Candidate will possess the following certifications

     (1) Firefighter I or II.

     (2) Haz-Mat Ops

     (3) Nims ICS-100 and 200

     (4) Medical First Responder

     (5) Basic Auto - Extrication

                (F) Must pass physical test.

 PHYSICAL AGILITY TESTING WILL BE CONDUCTED AT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ON:

 

Tuesday, August 3, 2010 beginning at 9:00 AM. 

Qualified applicants will be telephoned and given a test time.

               

INTERVIEWS FOR APPLICANTS WHO PASSED THE PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST WILL BE ASSIGNED AN INTERVIEW TIME FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 5, 2010.
